Innoject, Inc. Receives Clearance From the Food & Drug Administration to Market the Hand-Filled Version of Its Auto-Injector Technology November 12, 2004 ATHENS, TX -- Nov 12, 2004 -- Innoject, Inc. announced today that it
has received clearance by the FDA to sell its patented auto-injector
product in the United States. This one-time-use disposable device is intended
for automatic injection of personalized doses of drugs and biologics.
Activated by depressing a button as one would when using a ball point
pen, Innoject's flagship product makes it easier for people to receive
injections. At no time during the process is the needle visible to the
patient, and the automatic needle retraction mechanism is intended to
aid in the prevention of accidental needle sticks. This product can only
be used as prescribed by and under the supervision of a physician. Innoject, Inc. CEO Richard M. Winters said, "Our vision of improving the quality of life of patients who are physically unable or unwilling to use currently available self-injection technology is becoming a reality with this exciting first product. The Confi·Dose™ product offers superior features over the other available options in many settings. Companion products that we are developing with the assistance of a grant from National Institutes of Health (NIH) will soon provide alternatives to even more patients." About Innoject, Inc.
