Confi·DoseIM™ is
a new auto-injector technology designed to enable you to safely,
easily, and quickly self-administer approved injectable drugs indicated
for the intramuscular route of administration. Upon activation
by the user, Confi·DoseIM™ instantly inserts a thin
needle into the injection site to a preset depth into the muscle,
delivers a personalized dose of medicine with very little discomfort,
and then safely retracts the needle back inside the housing. Best
of all, you never see the needle™.
Confi·Dose™ is
sold by prescription, only. Confi·DoseIM™ can
be prepared with your prescribed dose of medication up to a 1.0
ml dose volume. Once your Confi·Dose™ is filled, it
is completely self contained and requires absolutely no preparation
by you. Confi·DoseIM™ also has a clear viewing window
which allows quick dose inspection before and after use.
Confi·DoseIM™ is for intramuscular administration,
only. Our patented auto-injector technology conceals a small 27
gauge needle inside your Confi·DoseIM™. When you need
your medicine, you first select and clean the injection site according
to your doctor’s instructions. Next, twist the black rubber
grip to disengage the device’s safety. You then place the
nose of Confi·DoseIM™ against the site and just press
down on the black rubber grip. An audible “click” signals
that the medicine is being delivered. Because the needle exits
the housing only during injection, and automatically retracts after
the dose is delivered it remains completely hidden from view during
the injection. Because the needle is automatically and permanently
retracted, the risk of inadvertent needle stick injury is virtually
eliminated. Confi·Dose™ can then be safely disposed
of in accordance with local solid waste disposal regulations.
